World Statues competition update
Back from the World Statues competition in Arnhem in the Netherlands.
Had a great time and met some great people. The Dutch really appreciate living statues.
Had my reality crew with me for the whole day - doesn't everyone ?
Further Thoughts
I would have liked to have won the World living statues competition, but in reality I realised that I had little chance as there was a fundamental difference in what I do as a living mannequin compared to a what were mostly street living statues.A Living Mannequin stays still then moves suddenly or robotically, to attract attention, and sometimes quickly enough to cause a big reaction, because the audience don't know they are real, whereas with living statues you kind of know they aren't real, and when you place some token of appreciation in their "hat", they normally "give" you something back, strangely enough, called "the give", which is a small sometimes audience interactive performance.
