Just got back from Birmingham and it went really well. Rather than a continuous flow of people at normal shows, groups were being shown around, which meant I had to use a different technique. I would make sure I was in place ahead of the next group, and stand totally motion less during the introduction talk. Then the group would disperse a bit, while they waited to have a go on the machinery, That's when I would pick them off slowly one by one. Of course it always helps when they come right up to you or someone (who knows) sets them up to have a picture taken with you.
